Hennessey Venom GT hits new, unofficial, speed record (video)

The Hennessey Venom GT (pictured) hist 270.49mph on a NASA runway Top speed records for production cars is starting to seem pretty irrelevant as there’s almost nowhere an owner can ever hope to hit those record speeds. And the performance of cars like the new McLaren P1 – where  performance and handling are much more the focus than outright top speed – has added the the irrelevance. But that doesn’t stop some car makers aiming for the bragging rights of the world’s fastest production car, and John Hennessey and his Hennessey Venom GT are back with another claim on the title.

Range Rover debuts long-wheelbase version at LA Auto Show

In previous years we've noticed that Range Rovers have become a popular alternative to traditional plutobarges, and lately Land Rover has noticed this as well.

Renault Clio

This is the new, fourth-generation Renault Clio and the first production car to feature the brand's new design language under Laurens van den Acker. Its grille and lamp graphics are a clear relation to the Dezir concept first shown in Paris 2010, while the rear feature lines and lamps have shades of the Captur concept. The new Clio will only be available in five-door format although its rear door handles are hidden in its C-pillars.
